Did you know your blinging iPot can be used to make some bomb diggity rice?? Oh you better believe it!
Rice is the base for most of our meals so we love perfect rice every single time.
Cooking perfect rice works in ratios. So if you have 1 cup of jasmine rice, you will use 1 cup of water for it. There are different ratios for different styles of rice that are noted above.
*** Keep in mind that these ratios are different from cooking on the stove top.
When you select the amount of rice you want to cook.
Quickly rinse it using a fine mesh strainer. Add it to your Instant Pot® followed by the amount of water required.
Close up your Instant Pot® and make sure to set the steam release
handle on the lid to ‘sealing’.
Hit the manual button, leave on high pressure and the cook times are:
Jasmine Rice – 4 minutes
Basmati Rice – 4 minutes
Any Brown Rice – 22 minutes
Just set it and forget it! The iPot will beep a bunch of times when it is done cooking. Let the iPot naturally release steam for 10 minutes.
After the 10 minutes is up, switch the steam release handle to ‘venting’. Once the steam is released, enjoy your rice with any of the stews, soups and chilis in this book!
You no longer have to reach your hand into your Instant Pot to grab your trivet trays. Instead, you can simply grip the heat resistant handles and remove your tasty treats.
